MOUNT VERNON — A Knox County grand jury indicted 12 individuals during a recent session on charges ranging from alleged aggravated drug possession to theft from an elderly person.

The cases are below.

— Austin D. Schnars, of Mount Vernon, tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor.

— Zachariah T. Thomas, of Howard, strangulation, a fourth-degree felony; disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony; kidnapping, a second-degree felony; aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor; strangulation, a fourth-degree felony; assault, a first-degree misdemeanor; unlawful restraint, a third-degree misdemeanor.

— Tanner L. Plitcha, homeless, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

— Javon I. Nguyen, of Indianapolis, failure to comply with the signal or order of a police officer, a third-degree felony.

— Quiana H. Major, of Danville, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

— Miranda J. Pratt, of Mount Vernon, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

— Jaron M. Dean, of Mount Vernon, domestic violence, a third-degree felony.

— Ronald J. Harmon, Mount Vernon, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony.

— Radusta L. Friedley, Mount Vernon, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

— Shailyn R. Hill, of Mount Vernon, theft from an elderly person, a fourth-degree felony; misuse of credit cards, a fifth-degree felony.

— Stephen E. Deshong, of Mansfield, theft, a fifth-degree felony; driving under suspension, a first-degree misdemeanor.

— Britnie D. Brauchler, of Mansfield, theft, a fifth-degree felony; wrongful entrustment of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor.
