Donna L. Nicholls, age 87, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center.
She was born on June 5, 1938, to the late Clarence and Gladys (Doup) Baker.
Donna was a factory worker at Continental Can. She was also an aid at Mount Vernon State Hospital for 10 years. Donna was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She enjoyed listening to country music, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, but most of all she loved the time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Paul (Debbie) Baker of Mount Vernon; her two daughters, Kimberly (Nancy) Nicholls of East Jordan, MI and Deanna (Bill) Bennett of Mount Vernon; grandsons, Aaron Bennett of Mount Vernon, Alex Bennett of Sandusky, and Richard Dean Ruse.
Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dean Nicholls and her daughter, Gayle Ruse, three brothers, Clarence, Donald and Gene Baker: three sisters, Opal Carter, Kathleen Layman and Janet Nicholls.
The family is observing a private burial in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
