MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Community Health Center has achieved two Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) badges: Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality and National Quality Leader-Behavioral Health.
These achievements reflect the health center’s dedication to providing coordinated, accessible, and patient-centered care.
The Advancing HIT for Quality Badge criteria include offering telehealth services, exchanging clinical information online with key providers’ healthcare settings, engaging patients through HIT, and collecting data on patient health-related needs.
To earn the National Quality Leader-Behavioral Health Badge, health centers must meet or exceed at least two of the three measure targets: depression remission at twelve months; screening for depression and follow-up plan; and screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT), which measures the proportion of patients receiving SBIRT.
“Earning these HRSA badges reflects our continued focus on improving access, enhancing care coordination, and supporting the overall well-being of our patients,” said Anthony Bowersock, project director. “We are grateful for the dedication of our staff and the trust of the community we serve.”
HRSA programs provide health care to people who are geographically isolated or economically or medically vulnerable. HRSA’s mission is to improve health outcomes through access to quality services, a skilled health workforce, and innovative, high-value programs.
