AVON – For the second time this season, Mount Vernon Nazarene standout Taylor Gregory has been named the Women’s Basketball Player of the Week by the Crossroads League.
The Mount Vernon High School graduate was dominant for the Lady Cougars in a pair of wins over the Grace College Lancers. Through two games, Gregory put up averages of 25 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks. Gregory was red-hot as she shot 70% from the field and 50% from three.
Thanks to Gregory’s big week, MVNU is now back to .500 on the season (8-8) and sits one game over .500 in the Crossroads league (5-4).
Gregory will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the University of Saint Francis. Tip-off in Fort Wayne, Indiana will be at 7 p.m.
