Ryan David Davis, 33, passed away at his home on October 30, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, love, and memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew him.

Born on January 28, 1993, Ryan was intelligent, quick-witted, and blessed with a wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor. He always seemed to have a clever comeback ready and could make people laugh when they least expected it. Affectionately known as “Ry”, “Pumpkin” and “Lambchops,” Ryan was truly one of a kind.

Ryan has always felt everything deeply, especially when it comes to the people he loves. Whether it’s family, friends, coworkers, or someone special in his life, he has always formed strong connections and invested his whole heart in his relationships. He has loved fiercely, cared passionately, and never done anything halfway when it comes to the people who matter to him. That intensity has always been part of who Ryan is, and those fortunate enough to be loved by him know just how deeply he cares.

Above all else, Ryan’s greatest pride and joy is his beloved 11-year-old daughter, Jupiter. She is the center of his world, and the love he has for her is immeasurable. As a devoted father, Ryan worked hard and took great pride in building a life that would provide Jupiter with love, stability, opportunities, and the resources she needs to grow and become the very best version of herself. His hopes and dreams for her remain boundless, and the bond they share is everlasting.

Ryan shared his love of fishing with Jupiter spending time together fishing was one of their favorite activities. Those precious moments are a reflection of the special bond they share and memories Jupiter can carry with her throughout her life.
Ryan also shared a special bond with his beloved dog and faithful companion, Frankie, who brought him comfort, companionship, and unconditional love.

Family was at the heart of Ryan’s life. He was a mama’s boy through and through, and the bond he shared with his mother, Dawn, was especially strong. Throughout his life, Dawn poured countless hours of love, time, energy, and devotion into her son. She was a constant presence in his life, loving him fiercely and standing beside him through every chapter.

Ryan shared a close and loving bond with his father, Rodney, who was always there for him with unwavering love and support. They especially enjoyed watching Ohio State football games together, cheering on their beloved Buckeyes and sharing the excitement of every game. Those times together, along with years of laughter, conversations, and shared memories, strengthened a father-son bond that Rodney will forever treasure.

Ryan’s stepfather, Scott Smith, was a tremendous source of love and support, always willing to listen, teach, and help Ryan find his way, no matter the hour of the day or night.

Ryan also shared an especially close bond with his sister, Autumn. From their childhood years through adulthood, their relationship remained one of love, laughter, and a lifetime of shared memories. More than just brother and sister, they shared a friendship and connection that continued to grow as they navigated life together. When Autumn married Vance, Ryan gained not just a brother-in-law, but a brother and friend. Their special family bond was one that time and age could never diminish.

Ryan was blessed with the unwavering love of his grandparents, Richard and Kandy Light, affectionately known as MomMom and PopPop. They were a constant and loving presence throughout his life, investing countless hours of their time, hearts, and devotion into him.

Some of Ryan’s most treasured childhood memories were made during the many years of Kuzins Kamp, a special family tradition lovingly organized by MomMom. These gatherings brought Ryan and his cousins together for days filled with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable experiences. From learning to drive a stick shift in the field with PopPop to lively paintball battles and homemade potato guns, there was never a shortage of fun. MomMom always had exciting activities planned, creating opportunities for the cousins to spend time together, make memories, and build lifelong bonds. Those special years of Kuzins Kamp became a cherished part of Ryan’s childhood and a lasting gift to the entire family.

Ryan cherished his relationships with his cousins Danny, Jason, Nicholas, Cierra, Rachel, Phillip, and Tamika. Together, they shared years of laughter, adventures, and family memories that will never be forgotten.

Ryan was proud of the life he was building. He was thrilled to begin working at Anheuser-Busch, where he spent nearly five years and formed many dear friendships with his coworkers.

One of his proudest accomplishments was purchasing his own home. He embraced this new chapter with excitement, developing a love for grilling and experimenting with new and interesting creations in his Crock-Pot.

As Ryan matured, he began to reflect more deeply on the true meaning of life and the importance of his relationship with Jesus. He became increasingly aware of the spiritual battle between good and evil and the importance of choosing to stand on the side of faith and goodness. He wanted God’s presence in his life and His blessing and protection over his home and family. Ryan frequently asked to be upheld in prayer, seeking God’s guidance, peace, and protection. Above all, he wanted Jupiter to know that Jesus loved her and that faith in Him was something she could carry with her throughout her life.

Ryan enjoyed talking politics and cheering on his beloved Cleveland Cavaliers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland Browns. He was also a huge LeBron James fan. And anyone who knew Ryan knew he appreciated his favorite snacks—beef jerky, Chex Mix, Oreos, and Chips Ahoy cookies. These little pleasures are among the many things that will forever bring a smile to the faces of those who love him.

Ryan is survived by his beloved daughter, Jupiter Davis; his mother, Dawn Light, and stepfather, Scott Smith; his father, Rodney Davis; Daryl Davison, who was an important father figure in his life; his sister and brother-in-law, Autumn and Vance Turnewitsch; his adopted siblings, Teddi, Kortney, Kory, and Daryl Jr.; his grandparents, Richard and Kandy Light (MomMom and PopPop); his aunts and uncles, Rick and Orawan Light, Tim and Joyce Light, Dave and Chris Light, Amy and Chris Altadonna, and Anne and Chad Evans; and his cousins, Danny, Jason, Nicholas, Cierra, Rachel, Phillip, and Tamika as well as Maddie who was like a second daughter to him. He also leaves behind many other family members, dear friends, and coworkers who loved him.

Ryan was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Stanley and Lois Davis, whose memory remains a cherished part of his family’s story.

Though his time here was far too short, Ryan leaves behind countless memories, inside jokes, and moments of laughter that will never be forgotten. His quick wit, unmistakable personality, and the love he had for his family will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and always our Ry.
