MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Grand Jury indicted a man from Marysville during its most recent session for allegedly stealing from the Lowe’s hardware store in Mount Vernon.
On or about Sept. 2, Keanu A. Williams allegedly committed theft, a fifth-degree felony, by stealing $1,099 worth of merchandise from the store, the indictment reads.
The jury handed down a felony charge as opposed to a misdemeanor because the amount allegedly stolen exceeded $1,000, per the Revised Code of Ohio.
The Knox County Common Pleas Court has not yet scheduled an arraignment hearing for Williams’ case.
