MOUNT VERNON — A Knox County Grand Jury indicted a Mount Vernon man on 15 counts during its July 14 session, including 13 counts of receiving stolen property.
Counts one through four allege that on or about July 8, Timothy E. Woods, 45, received multiple vehicles “knowing or having reasonable cause to believe it had been obtained through the commission of a theft offense.”
The vehicles included a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck, 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, 2025 Ram ProMaster van, and a 2022 Jayco travel trailer.
All counts are fourth-degree felonies.
On the same day, Woods received three licenses plates, one from the state of Indiana and two from Ohio, and three credit cards. Counts five through 10 are fifth-degree felonies.
The indictment also alleges that on or about May 17, Woods received stolen property consisting of a 2006 Fontaine Truck Equipment trailer and a Volvo truck belonging to Penske Truck Leasing. Both counts are fourth-degree felonies.
On July 7, he allegedly received a 2017 Peterbilt 579 belonging to Rands Trucking, also a fourth-degree felony.
The aggravated possession of drugs charge allegedly occurred on July 8, when Woods obtained, possessed, or used methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony.
Count 15 involves engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity between May 15 and July 8, a second-degree felony.
Knox County Common Pleas Judge Richard Wetzel set Woods’ arraignment for July 16 at 1:30 pm.
