FREDERICKTOWN — The Fredericktown FFA sent two members to the District Agricultural Power Diagnostics Career Development Event.
Participants were Lane Dugan and Mason Gearheart. The team took 6th place at the district competition held at Bane Welker Equipment in Utica.
This competition serves as an authentic assessment that is designed to evaluate students’ knowledge in recognizing and repairing malfunctions in agricultural and/or industrial power equipment.
The skills these student’s employ in this CDE are the same skills required by agricultural and industrial technicians. In this contest members must evaluate farm equipment that is not performing to standards or is not operational at all.
The team must take an online general knowledge exam, and work together in five different diagnostic stations during the competition.
