Joan O. Gantt, 79, of Mount Vernon passed away on October 26, 2023 at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born on July 21, 1944 to Norman and Frances (Frye) Trittschuh in Indianapolis, IN.

Joan graduated from Versailles High School, Class of 1962. She received a diploma for the secretarial course from Miami Jacobs College in 1963. Joan was a member of the First Church of God in Fredericktown, OH. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Mount Vernon. Joan enjoyed sewing, bowling, bike riding, swimming and crocheting. She also liked doing word circle puzzles, listening to music and playing piano.

Joan is survived by her daughter Brenda (Charles) Cagnon of Mount Vernon, OH; a sister in law Barbara “Kay” Mayo Trittschuh of Versailles, OH; nieces Tammy (Bruce) Magoto, Tonda (Matt Schoeff) Trittschuh both of Versailles, OH; a nephew John Jr. Trittschuh of Versailles, OH; a great niece Krista (Kurtis) Halley; great nephew Michael (Kassie) Dabe; great nephew Timothy (Vanessa) Magoto; great niece Kayla (Matthew) McCubbin; great great niece Emma; great great nephew Maxwell; great great niece MacKenzie; great great nephew Christopher; great great nephew Tristan Trittschuh; great great nephews Ryan and Jacob Schoeff and many extended family members and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother John Trittschuh.
