Anne Hayes met and married Woody Hayes in the early 1940s in New Philadelphia, Ohio. She became a banquet speaker and was frequently asked if she ever considered divorce. “Divorce Woody? Never! Murder often, but never divorce.” They were married until his death in 1987.
