MOUNT VERNON — Amy Smart, executive director of Riverside Recovery Services, has always been supportive of women and especially women owning businesses.
Smart wants to give those women-owned small businesses an opportunity to showcase their talents and crafts.
Thus the creation of Riverside Recovery’s first women-only vendors event. The women-only-business-venture is Nov. 19 at 408 Coshocton Ave. from noon to 5 p.m., Smart said.
Table slots are still available, with at least 15 vendors already registered. Table spaces cost $20 and funds will go toward domestic violence shelter New Directions. November is Domestic Violence Awareness month.
Either baked goods, crafts or handmade jewelry, these vendors and more will be showcased at this women-led event.
“We are grateful for our partnership with Riverside Recovery and we appreciate their consideration of our organization to receive a monetary donation from their event,” New Directions Executive Director Lori Jones-Perkins said.
“As we continue our work to raise money for our capital campaign and will be moving into our new location in early 2023, these funds will go towards that effort.”
