FREDERICKTOWN — Fredericktown Supt. Gary Chapman discussed increased communication plans between the district and community at Tuesday’s September board of education meeting.

Newsletter designer Monica Leichtenberg, distributed a prototype of the upcoming newsletter to board members and Chapman, detailing what the letter will showcase.

The goal is to show off the kids, Leichtenberg said.

“That’s what people want to see,” she said.

“This is very good,” Board President Paul Napier said with a smile. “I’m very excited.”

Chapman noted the importance of having routine communication between families and what’s happening at the district.

The newsletter should be sent out either next week or the last week of September, Chapman said.

Also at the meeting, the board accepted several donations pertaining to athletics and school supplies.

  • $6,500 total of donations were accepted for the Athletic Hall of Fame.
  • $1,768 total of donations were accepted for school supplies and other district needs.

Chapman also noted the district’s report card will be released Thursday for the public to view.
