MOUNT VERNON — Judge John Thatcher found 14 people guilty after arraignments and hearings this week in Mount Vernon Municipal Court.
These were the cases brought forward by the Mount Vernon Law Director’s office.
FEB. 23
James Quinn, 56, of Danville, was found guilty of Failure to Use Reasonable Control. The Court sentenced him to pay court costs.
Gregory Stoutenburgh, 52, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Expired Plates. The Court sentenced him to pay court costs.
Assistant Director of Law, Brittany Whitney, represented the State of Ohio and the City of Mount Vernon in the above cases.
FEB. 22
Sierra Colucci, 28, of Howard, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana. The Court sentenced her to pay a $50 fine.
Kayla Doup, 33, of Butler, was found guilty of Improper Display of her License Plate. The Court sentenced her to pay a $10 fine.
Laura Holler, 39, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding in a School Zone. The Court sentenced her to pay a $100 fine.
Rachel Hays, 39, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.
Kaitlyn Meadway, 29, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle without a Valid Operator’s License. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.
Nolan Meier, 20, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC above .170, and Having an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 174 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following conditions: attend and complete a 72-driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year for the OVI charges. He was sentenced to pay a $25 fine for the Open Container charge.
Mark Hauger, 33, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC between .08 and .169, and not Having a Taillight. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following conditions: attend and complete a 72-driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year for the OVI charges.
Bryan Detro, 39, of St. Louisville, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to serve five days in jail.
Jesse Martin, 46, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Violating a Protection Order. The Court sentenced him to serve 175 days in jail.
Destiny Stone, 28, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. The Court sentenced her to serve 90 days in jail, with 60 days suspended, and placed her on one year of probation,
John Wells, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failing to Reinstate his Operator’s License. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail.
Allan Hamilton, 33, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. He will be sentenced on March 29, 2022 following a pre-sentence investigation.
