KNOX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Sept. 29
- The caller reported an active domestic violence incident. When deputies arrived contact was made with the victim. She stated the suspect pushed her and threw a rock at the bathroom door while she was inside. The victim stated she was afraid of the suspect. Joseph Lee Vermillion was arrested for domestic violence and assault.
- Carley L. Ash was located on W. Gambier St. She was arrested for an outstanding warrant against her.
- A deputy was dispatched to a Columbus Rd. location for a report of a mentally ill female. The call was made by the woman’s daughter. The woman was transported to KCH.
Sept. 30
- A deputy was notified of a vehicle being driven by a suspended driver. A detective advised of the vehicle make, model and color and identified the driver who has FRA and RVS.
- A deputy responded to Kenyon College because a student was dealing with a mental health issue. The student was transported to Knox Community Hospital for evaluation.
Oct. 1
- Deputies were advised a woman was possibly suicidal and was driving around. Contact was made with the woman and it was determined she was not suicidal. She was placed in contact with mental health services and other resources.
- The complainant came to the KCSO to drop off drug paraphernalia he found in his grandson’s bedroom The complainant said he wanted the paraphernalia disposed of.
- Michael C. Kerr was stopped at the traffic light on Main St. at Preston St. Adam J. F. Burkam was traveling behind Kerr and was not paying attention. Kerr stopped for the light and Burkam struck Kerr in the rear causing damage to Kerr’s vehicle. Burkam was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
- Fredi R. L. Orellana was driving on Schenck Creek Rd. and swerved to miss hitting a deer and ran off the right side of the roadway. He struck a culvert and rolled over. He was cited for failure to control.
Oct. 2
- The complainant called to report his ex-girlfriend was at his residence and she wasn’t supposed to be there because he has an order of protection against her. Deputies responded to the incident location and spoke to the complainant. He said the suspect came to his residence and was knocking on his door and refusing to leave. He then stated the suspect got into his vehicle then left on foot prior to the arrival of the deputies. They attempted to locate the suspect in the area but could not find her. A copy of the report will be sent to the Caity Law Director’s Office for review.
