MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Knox County Coroner’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, is investigating the death of a one month old infant in a home on Wooster Road in Amity.
KCSO deputies were dispatched to this home on Route 3, Wooster Road, shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday on a report about a 1 month old baby and a dog

Sheriff David Shaffer said in a news release that, “The initial caller indicated that his dog may have been involved. Deputies contacted personnel from the Knox County Dog Warden’s Office to remove two dogs from the residence.”
The case remains under investigation.
