ASHLAND – After a rough start to the season, the MVHS JV golf team came in first at Weiss Ashland Golf Club tourney Tuesday. Sophomore Jordan Hoag shot an 89, the best of the day.

After the match Coach Ben Severns said, “We played well as a team today. I think our mindset coming in to today was different than it had been. The guys seemed more upbeat. I could hear them talking like they had an opportunity to play well today and finish well as a team. As a team, we battled through holes and took advantage of certain holes. It was fun to see their excitement on their faces when we were presented the trophy.”
