Incidents:

At 10:10 a.m. on Friday, a victim reported the theft of $20.00 in cash and two ashtrays from his 1997 Jaguar while it was parked on the 900-block of E. High Street.

At 10:30 a.m. on Friday, officers responded to a reported break-in at a residence on the 600-block of N. Sandusky Street.  A victim reported that the sliding-door to her garage had been forced open and damaged, and several items—including a flashlight and a cane—were taken from her vehicle.

At 6:00 a.m. on Friday, a victim reported that she had allowed a male suspect to stay overnight at her residence on the 00-block of Washington Street.  When she awoke, she found several items—including a bicycle and a Go-Pro camera with a micro-SD card—missing and the suspect absent.

At 1:20 p.m. on Friday, an officer collected a camo book bag containing Old Spice body spray, two cans of Twisted Tea, miscellaneous clothing, and a small flashlight found on the 200-block of N. Mulberry Street.

At 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, an officer investigated an unoccupied vehicle parked at Arch Park.  He smelled marijuana, tracked the odor, and found three people sitting behind a building at the park.  Colton George, 18, of Mount Vernon was found with marijuana debris on his shirt and later surrendered a bag of marijuana and a metal marijuana bowl.  George was cited and released.

Arrests and Charges:

Andrew Schuster, 26, of Mount Vernon was charged at 12:30 a.m. on 12/21/2015 with driving under a suspended/revoked license and with possession of drugs.

Colton George, 18, of Mount Vernon was charged at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday with drug abuse.

Amy Kelley-Camarillo, 42, of Mount Vernon was charged at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday with assault.

Michael Bee, 31, of Mount Vernon was arrested just before noon on Sunday for a probation violation.

Traffic Citations:

Etta Arnholt, 43, of Glenmont was cited at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Wallance Thomen, 84, of Centerburg was cited at noon on Wednesday for backing his vehicle without insuring it was safe to do so.

Arlene Lemon, 51, of Mount Vernon was cited at 10:45 a.m. on Friday for failing to obey a traffic signal.

Mary Johnson, 25, of Mount Vernon was cited at 12:45 a.m. on Friday for operating a vehicle without a required license and for failing to use child restraints.

Hunter Phillips, 22, of Centerburg was cited at 1:30 p.m. on Friday for driving under a suspended/revoked license.

Jessie Hoadley, 23, of Mount Vernon was cited at 1:30 p.m. on Friday for permitting an unlicensed driver to drive.

Jordan Burson, 28, of Mount Vernon was cited at 9:35 p.m. on Friday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Accidents:

At 9:35 p.m. on Friday, Joshua D. Daniel, 30, of Las Cruces, NM was northbound on Newark Road in a rented Mazda MX3.  Jordan B. Burson, 28, of Mount Vernon was immediately behind him in his 2004 Dodge Dakota.  When Daniel stopped and waited to turn left onto Spruce Street, Burson rear-ended him.  Burson was cited for the incident.
