MOUNT VERNON – A domestic violence survivor Thursday evening reported injuries to her head/skull, both knees, and right elbow. According to a report from the Knox County Sheriff’s office, the survivor said her live-in boyfriend became angry with her and struck her in the head. She was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect, Jared Jones, 28, of Glenmont, was taken to the Knox County jail and is facing a 1st degree misdemeanor domestic violence charge. According to online jail records, Jones is being held without bail.
