MOUNT VERNON – On Sunday March 8, 2015 Knox County Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested Mark A. Banbury age 35, of Mount Vernon. While investigating a residential burglary, patrol deputies developed information indicating Banbury’s involvement. A search warrant was conducted by the Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Unit and Mount Vernon Police Department.
As a result of the investigation, Mark Banbury is currently being held in jail on felony charges including burglary, theft of firearms, and theft from an elderly person. The case remains under investigation.
According to the Knox County Prosecutor’s office Banbury is currently being held on $100,000 cash bond with no ten percent provision.
