Incidents:
At 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, a parent requested to speak to an officer regarding a child-custody issue.
At 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, an officer responded to a fraud complaint involving $801 in cash.
At 8:55 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to an activated business alarm at the Freedom Center on E. Gambier Street. They checked the exterior areas of the facility and found an employee inside the building. They identified him and he informed them that he had activated the alarm by mistake and that everything was alright. The officers then cleared from the area.
Traffic Citations:
Dorothy Dales, 86, of Mount Vernon was cited at 2:05 p.m. on Thursday for illegally turning at intersections.
Angela Dupuy, 47, of Mount Vernon was cited at 3:10 p.m. on Thursday for running a red-light.
Katrina Reed, 23, of Mount Vernon was cited at 4:35 p.m. on Mount Vernon was cited for operating a vehicle with expired case.
Accidents:
At 9:05 a.m. on Thursday, Samantha M. Spence, 25, of Mount Vernon attempted to pull her 1992 Jeep Cherokee out of the driveway at the Dan Emmett Elementary School. When she did so, she struck a parked 2006 Chevy driven by Ashley M. Stitt, 31, of Howard.
At 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, Angella Dupuy, 47, of Mount Vernon was heading southbound on N. Main Street in her 1996 Chevy Astro van. Taylor Hanna, 17, of Bladensburg was heading eastbound on W. Chestnut Street in her Ford Focus. Dupuy ran a red-light at the intersection of those streets and struck Taylor’s vehicle in the side. Dupuy was cited for the incident.
At 4:05 on Thursday, Cody Wirth, 21, of Howard was travelling southbound through the Kroger parking lot in his Jeep Liberty. Matthew Kurtz, 51, of Fredericktown was heading eastbound in his Dodge and struck him in the side.
