MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon City School board meets tonight at 7 p.m., the first meeting for newly elected school board member Mary Rugola-Dye. Members will hold their annual organizational meeting followed by the regular meeting. The agenda includes a commendation for Ann Burky as the Wiggin Street School Behind the Scenes person. Representatives from Wiggin Street will report about the schol’s recycling program that is an ongoing environmental initiative at the school. Board members are expected to approve the 2014 Summer School budget.
The meetings are open to the public and will be held in the Middle School cafeteria.
