MOUNT VERNON- Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher announced that Michael Miller began his career this week as an assistant prosecutor in his office assigned to the felony division. He replaces Jennifer Springer who is leaving to go into private practice. Miller was born and raised in Youngstown. He attended Kenyon College (’98) where he majored in Political Science/Legal Studies. Miller was a four year letterman for the Lords football team. After college, he studied law at the University of Akron (’01). Mike worked as a prosecutor for the City of Athens and later as an assistant prosecutor and victim’s advocate in the Vinton County Prosecutor’s Office. Mike brings a unique combination of experience prosecuting criminals and working with crime victims that will be a great benefit to the Office.
