At about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, an employee of the Shell Station on E. Main Street in Centerburg reported that someone drove off without paying for $79.06 worth of gasoline. The suspect was driving a silver pick-up truck.
At about 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, a deputy responded to a report of stolen copper piping from an abandoned property on Columbus Road in Centerburg. According to the complainant, an unknown person removed the copper piping from the basement sometime between August 30, 2013 and January 3, 2014. The complainant, who worked for a security company, reported the incident to his supervisor who requested he file a police report. The deputy photographed the property while he wrote out a statement.
At around 2:45 on Saturday, a victim reported that, sometime over the past two months, someone stole about 400 pounds of aluminum from his property on Rutledge Road in Howard.
At about 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jaime L. Gibson, 45, of Mount Vernon turned himself in for an outstanding warrant. Gibson, a convicted sex offender, was wanted for failing to provide a required change-of-address. He was taken into custody without incident.
