MOUNT VERNON — A Knox County grand jury indicted a Mount Vernon woman for allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and five counts of endangering children during its most recent session.
On or about July 4, 2025, Cheyenne M. Ramey allegedly committed the crimes, according to the indictment.
The grand jury handed down a first-degree misdemeanor for the alleged operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol charge.
As for the alleged child endangerment, the grand jury assessed fifth-degree felony charges.
According to the recent indictment, Ramey previously pleaded guilty to or was convicted of child endangerment, “or any offense involving neglect, abandonment, contributing to the delinquency of, or physical abuse of a child … on the 13th day of August, 2025, in Mount Vernon Municipal Court.”

— Joshua L. Sanders, Mount Vernon, domestic violence, fourth-degree felony.
— Anthony W. Dardie III, Cleveland, passing bad checks, fifth-degree felony.
— Michael J. Butcher, Utica, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; tampering with evidence, third-degree felony.
