DANVILLE — The postseason can’t begin soon enough for the Blue Devils.
Undefeated Danville (22-0) earned the No. 1 seed in the Division VI central district tournament draw and took a first-round bye. The Blue Devils open tournament play at home at 5 p.m. Thursday in a sectional final against either No. 10 Mount Gilead or No. 11 East Knox.
The Bulldogs visit the Indians for a sectional semifinal at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Division III
Mount Vernon (19-2) earned the No. 2 seed in the Division III central district draw and will host No. 14 Columbus Briggs in a district semifinal at 5 p.m. May 21.
Division V
Fredericktown (11-9) picked up the No. 3 seed, while Centerburg (13-9) is the No. 4 seed in the Division V central district tournament. The Freddies will host No. 9 North Union in a sectional final at 5 p.m. Wednesday, while the Trojans welcome No. 11 Utica to town for a sectional final at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
