MOUNT VERNON —Twenty-nine scholars were inducted in the Ohio Delta Chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society by Mount Vernon Nazarene University for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Membership to Alpha Chi is by invitation only, and is restricted to traditional undergraduate students who are of junior and/or senior standing or non-traditional undergraduate students in MVNU’s Graduate and Professional Studies programs. 

A nominee must have been a full-time MVNU student for at least one academic year, completed at least half of the required graduation credits, and have a GPA of 3.85 or higher, including all coursework grades.

Alpha Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies, a group of 67 societies meeting rigorous standards regarding student membership and governance.

There are 297 collegiate chapters nationwide, and 535,910 members have been inducted since its inception in 1922. Alpha Chi is one of two major ACHS members based on the scholarly achievement of juniors and seniors, the other being Phi Kappa Phi.
