Arrests and Charges:
James Duncan, 25, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday for domestic violence and for criminal damaging or endangerment.
Traffic Citations:
Daniel Wood, 18, of Mount Vernon was cited at 6:35 a.m. on Wednesday for speeding.
Daniel Fowler, 44, of Mansfield was cited at 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday for hazardous driving in a no passing zone.
Accidents:
At 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday, William L. Mandich, 49, of Fredericktown was travelling eastbound on E. Chestnut Street in his 1999 Ford Explorer. Daniel S. Fowler, 44, of Mansfield was immediately behind him in his 2008 Dodge. At the McKenzie Street intersection, Fowler attempted to pass Mandich in a no-passing zone. In the process, Mandich struck him. Fowler was cited for the incident.
Incidents:
At 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday, a victim reported a physical domestic violence situation that involved her ex-husband at their residence on the 600-block of N. Sandusky Street. The victim had a visible injury to her neck and the residence’s entry door and the victim’s 2001 Ford Escape had been vandalized. The male suspect was later found walking by another officer and was arrested.
At 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer collected drug paraphernalia from a residence on the 00-block of Washington Street. The complainant reported that her sister had been arrested on the previous day and the drug paraphernalia—including an Altoids container holding multiple straws (with residue) and razor blades, another Altoids container holding foil with residue, and two glass pipes with residue—were found in her room. The officer collected them for disposal.
