MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon girls volleyball dropped a home match against the Utica Redskins on Tuesday.

Utica won the Licking County League match 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-18) and moves to 8-6 on the season.

The Yellow Jackets (8-6) recorded 31 kills, 3 blocks, 9 aces, 60 digs and 26 assists. Evie Creech had 7 kills, and J. Plumly recorded 6 kills and 2 blocks.

Mount Vernon travels to Licking Heights on Thursday to take on the Hornets (8-4).
