Steven Dow Caldwell, age 71, of Howard, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on November 15, 1954, in Mount Vernon to Donald and Helen (Sheehe) Caldwell.

He graduated from the Nazarene College in Mount Vernon (1976) and was the grandson of Lorenzo Dow Caldwell known as “Doc-Fix-It”. He operated an antique store “Red Duck” underneath Down Home Leather and continued the antique trade by having 3 eBay stores featuring antique quilts, musical instruments, and motorcycle parts selling until the day he passed.

He is survived by his life partner Stephanie Reynolds of 47 years, his mother Helen, an Aunt Sondra Oliver, a special cousin Sherry Deubach, a sister from another mother Sue Chester, his KCH “harem”, and many friends and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no services, but a celebration of life November 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Campbells shooting range on Coshocton Rd. in Howard.
