MOUNT VERNON — A Knox County grand jury indicted a Newark man Monday for aggravated robbery and assault on a peace officer.
Conner L. Allen, 23, was indicted for allegedly removing or attempting to remove a deadly weapon from a law enforcement officer, a first-degree felony. He was also indicted for allegedly causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a peace officer, a fourth-degree felony.
The grand jury indicted 12 other individuals in its July 27 session.
John F. Banks, of Mount Vernon, one count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a fourth-degree felony. Within 20 years of committing the offense, Banks has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to five or more equivalent offenses.
Hannah J. Martin, of Mount Vernon, one count of trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present, a fourth-degree felony.
Shannon E. Green, of Mount Vernon, one count of aggravated possession of drugs, methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony.
Ebony W. Stanford, of Mansfield, one count of domestic violence, a third-degree felony.
James R. Eppich, of Mount Vernon, one count of domestic violence, a fifth-degree felony.
Billie J. Courtwright, of Mount Vernon, one count of grand theft, $36,585.50 from PNC Bank, a fourth-degree felony.
Mason A. Green, of Mount Vernon, one count of felonious assault, a second-degree felony.
Cody A. Hess, of Howard, one count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a fourth-degree felony.
Noah A. Trimble, of Mount Vernon, one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.
William M. Joiner, of Utica, one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.
Thomas A. Mellor, of Killbuck, one count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a first-degree misdemeanor, and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, methamphetamine, a third-degree felony.
Joseph L. Daugherty, of Philippi, West Virginia, one count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a first-degree misdemeanor, and one count of improperly handing firearms in a motor vehicle, one HK VP9 pistol, a fifth-degree felony.
