Thomas Eugene Gruber, age 66, of Utica passed away with his family by his side on July 24, 2026, at his residence. Thomas was born on November 26, 1959, in Loudonville, Ohio to Bobby Eugene and Carolyn (Hogle) Gruber.
He cherished the time he spent with his family, who were the center of his life. Known as a true jack of all trades, he possessed an incredible ability to fix, build, or create just about anything. Whether tackling a difficult project, lending a helping hand, or sharing his knowledge with others, there seemed to be nothing he couldn’t do. His resourcefulness, strong work ethic, and willingness to help those around him will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready with a joke to bring a smile to those around him. He especially delighted in teasing his grandchildren, affectionately calling them his “turkeys,” a nickname they will forever cherish as a reminder of his love and playful spirit.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Olga Gruber; children, Crissy Enlow, Tommy Gruber, Lisa Gruber; mother, Carolyn Gruber; grandchildren, Brandon, Daniel, Raven, Neveah, Isabelle, Gabrielle, Destiny and Josephine; great grandchildren, Liam, Claire and Rhyder; siblings, Mike (Thelma) Gruber and Theresa Gruber.
