George Luther Talley Jr, age 93, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at his residence. He was born on September 25, 1932, in Eden, Texas to the late George and Alice (Gibard) Talley Sr.
George was a member of the Seventh day Adventist Church and was a church elder for many years. He spent 6 years in Africa and 2 years in Canada. He was a printer for Publishing House was worked as a manager.
George is survived by his wife, Mildred Wilma (Lambeth) Talley; children, Gaylen (Jeannie) Talley, Arther (Debbie) Talley, Vicki (Jon) Cooper; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, George is preceded in death by his siblings, Davie Jackson, Pearl Picket, Ethel Gossett and Thomas Talley.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
