Columbus – Brenda Lee (Hauger) Durbin died at the Forest Hills Center following a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born to Glen and Janice (Staats) Hauger on February 13, 1962 at Mercy Hospital in Mount Vernon. Brenda grew up in Danville and graduated from Danville High School in 1980, where she was an active and proud member of the band.
She attended the Ohio State School of Cosmetology and worked as a valued stylist at John of Holland in Upper Arlington for 20 years. She was admired and loved by her co-workers and clients. Brenda loved her pets, music, and feeding birds, and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and “The Best Damn Band In The Land”. She also enjoyed traveling and attending family get-togethers.
Brenda is survived by five siblings, Mike (Chris) Billow of Danville, Gina White-Russell (Bill) of Fredericktown, Marsha Hauger of Mount Vernon, Anita Martin of Danville, and Dwight Hauger of Danville; many nieces and nephews who she had a great love for; a special friend, Gary Rockfield of West Mansfield, and Shane Durbin, who she was married to for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Jack White and Mike Martin; and a niece, Julie White Jones.
A private graveside service will take place in Workman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your local Humane Society, or the Danville High School Band, PO Box 110 Danville, OH 43014.
