Richard Lewis Price Jr., 66, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Ohio State University Hospital, in Columbus, OH.
Rich was born October 31, 1959 in Columbus, OH to Richard Lewis and Mina Elizabeth {Cade} Price Sr. He was an excellent electrician by training, trade and way of life. He lived and breathed the work. He was one of the hardest working people you would ever meet. He loved hunting and fishing. He was a Buckeye football fan. He loved the Lord and never hesitated to pray for those in need, especially for the last two years. He was also generous with help when he knew there was a need. His children remembered him as a good dad.
Rich will be deeply missed by his children Shane Price, Jaimi (Dennis) Dennison, Jeremy (Mariah) Price, Larissa Price, Shawn Price and Benjamin (Angie) Smith; grandchildren Caleb Price, Canaan (Niyah) Dennison, Felicity (Brian) Edwards, Chloe Dennison, Donovan Smith, Harmony Smith, Olivia Price, Aubrey Price, Alexandria, Shawn Price Jr., Brystal Price, Corbin Price; great-grandson Caellum Dennison; mother Mina Price; brother Brad (Donna) Price; and his sister Diana Murphy Richard was preceded in death by his father and his brother Craig Price.
Celebration of Life Gathering for Rich will be held on October 10th, 2026, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 13650 Gilchrist Rd., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The family will host a cookout with a time for children and grandchildren to share memories with all those who come. They will conclude the gathering with fireworks at 8pm. Everyone is welcome to stop in at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens 18260 Coshocton Rd, Mt Vernon, OH, on that day to view his bevel in the Garden of Peace by the Jesus Pond.
