MANSFIELD — Adena recently welcomed hundreds of students from across north central Ohio recently to its Mansfield headquarters for Skills Day, a hands-on event designed to connect students with careers in construction and the skilled trades.

Students from Pioneer Career and Technology Center, Tri-Rivers Career Center, Heartland Career Center, Knox County Career Center, and Madison Career-Tech participated in demonstrations and competitions focused on masonry, concrete, and carpentry, while engaging directly with construction professionals and industry partners, including The Ohio State University.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to build practical skills, explore career pathways, and compete for prizes featuring tools and equipment they can use in their future professions.

The event reflects Adena’s commitment to workforce development and creating meaningful opportunities for the next generation of skilled professionals.

By bringing together students, educators, and industry leaders, Skills Day provided valuable exposure to the rewarding careers available throughout the construction industry while helping strengthen the future workforce in the communities Adena serves.
