Larry Lynn Overly, age 83, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was born on April 14, 1943, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Neil and Vyvyan (Bell) Overly.
Larry was a farmer and loved working on the farms he owned in Wyandot County and Knox County. He was also an Engineer and was a mining consultant for many companies. He enjoyed his MGA British sports cars and was a member of the MGA Car Club. Larry was a member of the Thrall Lodge #170 F. & A.M. in Fredericktown, Ohio. He was president of the Bucyrus Lions Club in 1978 and 1979. Larry was also a zoning inspector for Middlebury Township.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Lynne (Davis) Overly; children, Jeff Overly of Mansfield, Ohio, David (Melissa) Overly of Newark, Ohio, Jackie (Chad) Morris of Howard, Ohio; grandchildren, Ethan and Sarah Overly, Lea (Alex) Solon, Gavin Morris; a great-grandchild, Avery Solon; brothers, Cless (Linda) Overly of Cummings, Georgia, Jim (Darlene) Overly of Utica, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will take place in Forest Cemetery at a later date.
