MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets defended their home turf with a 2-0 soccer win over Madison Comprehensive on Thursday.
The victory extends a 6-0 home field win streak and moves Mount Vernon to 8-2-1 overall and 4-1 in Licking County League conference play.
The Jackets take a seven-game winning streak into Monday’s game at Lexington.
The Madison Rams (1-10) will try to get back on the winning track as they host Wooster on Tuesday.
