Alyce Faye Poland, 86 of Utica passed away on February 24, 2026 at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on September 10, 1939 in Mansfield, OH to the late Lynn and Hazel (Perkins) Hyatt.
Alyce graduated from Centerburg High School in 1957. She was married 64 years to James Donald Poland. She worked at the Utica Nursing Home for 20 years as head housekeeper. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, James “Dick” (Kathleen) Poland of St. Louisville; daughter, Jill (Neil Good) Cella of Danville; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin sisters, Lynne and Lynda; twin brothers, Tom and Jerry; daughter-in-law, Vickie (Gullett) Poland; dear friends, Ginny McMains and Marile Glover.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
