Sara L. Mann, 84, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday morning, August 30, 2025 at Danbury of Mount Vernon. She was born on January 3, 1941 in Mount Vernon to the late Robert and Dorothy (Downs) Porter.

Sara owned and operator Decorating Designs in Mount Vernon for many years and was known for having a creative eye for what your home needed. She was active in the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the Walter Rudin Award. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and traveling. Sara was a member of the Saint John the Baptist Parish attending Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Sara is survived by her husband Jerry Mann; her children, Deborah (Paul) Larrison of Howard, Patricia (Douglas) Kenney of Sarasota, FL and Theresa (Scott) Randall of Fredericktown; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-granddaughters; and a brother, Robert (Becky) Porter of Millersburg.

In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her sister, Lorle Porter.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lasater Chapel 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd., Mount Vernon. The Rosary will be recited at the conclusion of the visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev Father James Farnan as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Danbury for the compassionate care they provided. They would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice for all the love and care they gave Sara.
