Robert Somershield, age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his caregivers on August 11th, 2025.
Robert spent the majority of his life living in Mount Vernon Developmental Center, where he was known as a gentle and sweet soul. His unique personality shone for those he loved, and he was cared for by many amazing people along the way.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Lynn and Elise, and his brother Tyler.
Robert is survived by his niece Carrie and nephew Brian. His light will be missed.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
