MOUNT VERNON—On Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m., Gay Street United Methodist Church will host a free, family-friendly Community Event titled “Ecology in Concert: Feed the Right Wolf.” The event will feature Sarah Goslee Reed, singer/songwriter/musician, and JD Stillwater, science ambassador/percussionist.

Celebrate the Earth with this unique music and science experience.  Sarah Goslee Reed’s original songs ask questions, challenge us, and inspire us to improve our relationships with one another and the earth.

JD Stillwater’s multi-media presentations offer Earth-affirming revelations and insights from science. This integrative experience will move your mind and spirit toward a new, more sustainable worldview.

Stillwater is a Cornell University graduate. He is a science ambassador and author who writes and speaks about profound insights from natural reality, insights that drive paradigm shifts and cultural awakening.

This work springs from his love of science and his gift for making difficult concepts graspable for non-scientists. After 24 years teaching science and math in secondary classrooms, Stillwater now shares the awe, wonder, and spiritual depth he experiences in what the global science community is revealing. Reed grew up with her parents’ classical music and a love of the folk music of the ’60s and the Beatles. Based on her knowledge of the violin, she taught herself to play guitar and learned songs by listening to records.

A professional microbiologist, songwriting, singing, and all things natural are her passions. Reed has worked with children, song-writing in schools, performing, and with special needs campers at Camp Nuhop. Her newest CD, The Healing, is preceded by 10 others. Visit sarahgosleereed.com.
