B. Waneta Divelbiss, 98, of Fredericktown, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home surrounded by her family. She was born May 31, 1926 in Knox County to the late Virgil and Bertha (Kunze) Ault.

Waneta graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1944 and in December of 1944 she married Stanley Divelbiss and they spent over 54 wonderful years together. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church near Fredericktown, the Golden Times Club, the Early Risers Fredericktown Bowling League and she was a Red Cross Volunteer at Knox Community Hospital. Waneta worked alongside her husband, Stanley in the family business, Stanley’s Fertilizer.

Waneta is survived by her children, Sheila (Gordon) Huff of Fredericktown, Nancy (Rick) Desautels of Toledo; Terry Divelbiss of Fredericktown and Alan (Annie) Divelbiss of Fredericktown; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Waneta was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Divelbiss on July 12, 1998; sisters, Lucille Pfaff and Janice Miller; brothers, Kensel Ault and Donald Ault; and a daughter-in-law, Ellen Divelbiss.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Fredericktown Chapel, 33 East College St., Fredericktown with Rev. Dr. Gary Campbell officiating. Waneta will be laid to rest beside her husband in Forest Cemetery, Fredericktown.
