Margie M. (Crippen) Veith, age 96, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio, after a short illness, surrounded by members of her loving family.

She was born on November 9, 1928, in Worthington, Minnesota, to Irving and Mabel (Anton) Schuck. She married Dudley Crippen on March 28, 1948, in Worthington, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1991. She married Eddie Veith in 1995 who passed away in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Jackson, in 1993 and her granddaughter, Christa Jackson in 2016 as well as her sisters Geraldine Hauge, and Katherine Mercer.

Margie was a 1946 Graduate of Worthington High School in Worthington, Minnesota. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Mt. Vernon, The Elks Club, Mount Vernon Country Club and several sororities since the 1960s. Margie retired from National City
Bank in Mt. Vernon after working there for many years as a teller. She enjoyed going out to eat, reading, traveling, cards, mahjong, and sitting out in the sun, but most of all, she enjoyed being around her loving family.

Margie is survived by her children, Mark (Mary) Crippen, Howard, Ohio; Diana LeClaire (Joe McCarney), Cold Spring, Minnesota; Debbie Handler (Robert Zullo), The Villages, Florida; grandchildren, Donovan Crippen, Mount Vernon, Ohio; Maria (Adam) Bremerkamp, Lake St. Louis, Missouri; Carter LeClaire, Lakeville, Minnesota; Michelle(Shawn) Vinje, New Market, Minnesota; Zack (Karissa) Handler, Springfield, NJ; Jennifer (Kevin) Shakespeare-Brown Haddonfield, NJ; Heather Potts Shepard (Bill Shepard), Hudson, Ohio; Matt (Kristien) Jackson, DenBosch, Netherlands; son-in-law Dennis (Beth) Jackson, Akron, Ohio; 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to thank the kind and loving staff and friends at Danbury Assisted Living in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

Calling hours will be at Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Vernon, Ohio on Saturday April 5th, 2025, at 10am followed by the funeral service at 11 am. The interment will be at Mound View Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Ohio following the service. A luncheon will take place at the Grand Hotel in Mt. Vernon following the interment, around 12:45 PM.
