CENTERBURG — Centerburg’s girls basketball team has had only one slip-up this season, and there wasn’t about to be a repeat of that scenario on Saturday.
The Trojans thumped East Knox 62-34 to maintain a stranglehold atop the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference standings.
Fredericktown, the squad that beat the Trojans on Jan. 3 (41-29), remains just a game behind in the race for the conference crown.
Centerburg dominated Saturday’s reaction throughout to improve to 15-1 overall, 10-1 in the KMAC. The Trojans travel to Loudonville on Wednesday, and hosts Fredericktown in a monster conference matchup on Jan. 29.
East Knox falls to 6-7 overall, 4-6 in the KMAC. The Bulldogs are back in action Wednesday at Cardington.
