MOUNT VERNON Seventeen people received sentences in July for felony convictions in Knox County.

July 11

  • Patricia Shea, of Marysville, received a nine-month prison sentence on a possession conviction.
  • Brian Bakewell, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on a permitting drug abuse conviction. Bakewell was ordered to serve 180 days in the county jail with credit for 36 days served, to be suspended on the condition that he enter into and successfully complete the Cedar Ridge Treatment Program, among other conditions.

  • Jonathan Vail, of Fredericktown, was sentenced to two years of community control on a violation of a protection order conviction. Vail was ordered to serve 270 days in the county jail with credit for 185 days served, to be suspended if he successfully completes the West Central Community based on Correctional Facility Treatment program, among other requirements.
  • Jeffrey Mabbitt, of Centerburg, was sentenced to two years of community control on a trespass in a habitation when a person is present and receiving stolen property conviction. Mabbitt was ordered to serve 180 days in the county jail with credit for four days served, suspended on the condition he enters into and successfully completes the Knox County Health Individual Treatment Plan, among other requirements.
  • Jason Emory, of Chandlersville, was sentenced to one year of community control on a grand theft of a motor vehicle conviction. Emory was ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution.

July 18

  • James Fawcett, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction.
  • Charles Shannon, of Columbus, was sentenced to a 30-month prison term on having weapons while under disability conviction with two forfeiture specifications. Shannon was given 224 days served toward his sentence along with future days awaiting transportation to the appropriate institution. Shannon was ordered to forfeit one 9mm Smith & Weson and one Savage Mark II .22 caliber rifle.
  • Hazal Hodge, of West Portsmouth, was sentenced to an 11-month prison term on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction.
  • Corey Anderson, of Centerburg, was sentenced to an 11-month prison term on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction. Anderson was given credit for 396 days served toward his sentence. Anderson’s sentencing is to be served concurrently with a robbery conviction in another case 23CR07-0153. Anderson was ordered to serve an indefinite prison term of four years with a maximum of six years.
  • Willie Wolfe, of Fredericktown, was sentenced to a 42-month prison term on 10 convictions in connection with a case of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. Wolfe was determined to be a Tier II sex offender/child-victim offender registrant.
  • Dakota Wilkinson, of Howard, was sentenced to one year of community control on an attempted disrupting public services conviction.

July 25

  • Daniel Sullivan, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to four to six years on a felonious assault conviction. Sullivan was also sentenced to a three-month term for operating a vehicle under OVI suspension conviction to be served concurrently. Sullivan was given 85 days served toward his sentence.
  • Sherri Horrmann, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control on an attempted conviction.
  • Zachary Mason Sr., of Whitehall, was sentenced to one year of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs conviction.
  • Emily Bricker, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to one year of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs, two possession of a fentanyl-related compound and a forfeiture specification convictions. Bricker was also ordered to forfeit $194 to the Mount Vernon Police Department.
  • Jared Strickland, of Lancaster, was sentenced to four years of community control on a theft conviction. Strickland was ordered to serve 180 days in the county jail with zero days served, to be suspended on the condition that he comply with all terms and conditions of community control supervision, among other requirements. Strickland was also ordered to pay $4,325.60 in restitution to the victim.
  • Tammy Hodge, of Columbus, was sentenced to one year of monitored time subject to supervision of the Adult Court Services on an aggravated possession of drugs and possession of fentanyl-related compound convictions. Hodge was ordered to serve 90 days in the county jail with credit for 28 days served, among other requirements.
