MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
Aug. 8
— A witness reported that a piece of excavation equipment caused damage to some yards. A report was taken.
Aug. 9
— Deputies were dispatched to the 20000 block of North Liberty Road in reference to lost and found property. Upon arrival Deputies conducted an investigation and collected the lost property. The property owner for the lost property, was identified and said property was returned to it’s owner. A report was taken for documentation purposes.
— The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by an individual reporting that a check had been cashed in their name. This incident occurred about a month after the complainants purse was stolen out of their vehicle. A report was taken for documentation.
— Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Range Line Road near Newark Road in reference to a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputies determined that the vehicle was abandoned, not drivable, and a safety hazard due to it being on the roadway. The vehicle was then impounded by On the Spot Towing Services and a report was taken for documentation purposes.
— Deputies were dispatched to the 18000 block of Earnest Road in reference to a fraud incident. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation and a report was taken for documentation purposes.
— A complainant advised a deputy about an elderly female who had been a victim of theft. A report was taken on the complainants behalf and will be forwarded to the County Prosecutor’s Office for review of potential charges.
