MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
JUNE 23
— Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Mishey Road in reference to a domestic violence incident. Once Deputies arrived on scene and began investigating it was determined that one of the persons involved was suffering from severe mental health issues. Subsequently that person was taken to Knox Community Hospital for a mandatory mental health evaluation.
— At approximately 12:06 p.m., deputies received a theft complaint of a catalytic converter on Gambier Road, Gamber. A report was filed, and photos were collected.
— Deputies responded to a disturbance on Apple Valley Drive in Howard, Ohio. Both parties were separated and a report of the incident was taken.
— The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted three different times by Rescare in Centerburg in reference to a disturbance. Deputies responded each time and attempted to resolve the issue. However, after each time the Deputies left, the resident would continue to act out and assault staff. The decision was made to transport the individual out of the facility to a medical facility. A report was taken for documentation.
JUNE 24
— Deputies responded to the Mohican Reservation on Wally Road for a disturbance. Dispatch advised that a possible gun was involved in the incident. Deputies arrived and spoke with both parties. No threats were made and the suspect admitted to having a firearm in his vehicle. The weapon was seized by Deputies for safekeeping for the night due to alcohol involved in the incident. A report was taken for documentation.
— A deputy was dispatched to a vandalism complaint on Chestnut Ridge Rd. Dispatch advised that someone had lit a box on fire in the complainants yard and burned his grass. I made contact with the complainant by phone.
— A driver reported that he was eastbound on US 62 when a deer ran onto the roadway and into his vehicle.
— Deputies responded to Matthews Car Dealership on Harcourt Rd for thefts from vehicles. No vehicles owners wanted charges at this time and a report was completed for documentation.
