Arthur Elvin “Art” Dailey Jr. age 82, of Mount Vernon went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Country Court Nursing Home.
He was born on July 19, 1940, in Mount Vernon to the late Arthur and Helen (Carpenter) Dailey Sr. Art was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School class of 1960. He was employed and retired from Wenco Windows after many years of service. Art and his late wife Janet were Cub Scout Leaders for many years. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with the love of his life Janet. Art was a member of the Salvation Army Church where he served faithfully as an officer.
He is survived by his nieces Laura (Jeff) Mabe of Mount Vernon, Ohio and Marcy (Andy) Hughes of Granville, Ohio; and his nephews Alan (Cheri) Fry of Danville, Ohio and Corey Dailey of Mount Vernon, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his wife, of over 55 years, Janet (Taylor) Dailey; his brother Steven Dailey; and his sister Carrie Lee McMillan.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Snyder Funeral Home – Flowers Chapel from 4:00-6:00PM. A funeral will be held on Friday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11AM with Captain Christine Moretz officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
