COLUMBUS — Twenty-five Knox County high school basketball players earned District 11 honors for their play this season.
The District 11 Coaches Association, a part of the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association, announced its all-area teams Friday. Nine Knox County players earned first-team all-district honors, while six earned second-team honors and 10 earned honorable mention honors.
In Division I, Mount Vernon senior Hudson Rohler earned first-team all-district honors. Senior Caden Rowland was named honorable mention all-district.
Mount Vernon sophomore Kymber Bell earned second-team honors on the girls side, and senior Nevaeh Williams was named honorable mention all-district.
In Division III, Centerburg senior Colton Martin earned first-team honors, alongside Fredericktown seniors Brady Lester and Kaid Carpenter. Centerburg junior Grayson Reynolds and Fredericktown senior Teegan Ruhl received second-team honors.
Centerburg sophomore Jack Lawrence, East Knox freshman Carter Wesney and Fredericktown senior Best Mast were all named honorable mention all-district.
Fredericktown sophomore Cally Carpenter earned first-team all-district honors on the girls side, alongside Centerburg sophomore Kayla Larimore and East Knox sophomore Sydney Opfer.
Fredericktown senior Grace Sipes received second-team all-district honors, while Centerburg junior Clara Johnson, East Knox sophomore Ella Divan and Fredericktown junior Jill Bouton all earned honorable-mention recognition.
And in Division IV, Danville senior Spencer Payne earned first-team all-district honors. Junior Walker Weckesser was named second-team all-district and senior Max Payne received honorable-mention recognition.
Danville junior Ella Proper earned first-team all-district honors on the girls side. Senior Jaylyn Workman was named second-team all-district and junior Kylee Hess received honorable-mention recognition.
