MOUNT VERNON — Judge John Thatcher found 27 defendants guilty and sentenced another after arraignments and hearings last week in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.
These were the cases brought forward last week by the Mount Vernon Law Director’s Office.
FEB. 7
Sarah Christine, 36, of Loudonville, was found guilty of Aggravated Trespass. The Court sentenced her to serve 21 days in jail with credit for time served.
Ryan Aspinall, 38, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. The Court sentenced him to serve 90 days in jail with 70 days suspended, and place him on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.
Ashley Ferrell, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Obstructing Official Business. The Court sentenced her to pay court costs.
Jacon Williams, 38, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Violating a Protection Order. The Court will sentence him on March 21, 2023 following a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
Dale Rayburn, 57, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failure to Confine a dog. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine, and serve two days in jail with two days suspended pending a Sentence Review Hearing on June 6, 2023.
David Shepherd, 48, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of Failure to Confine his dogs. The Court sentenced him to pay a $15 fine for the first charge and a $15 fine for the second charge.
Amy Williams, 52, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Without an Operator’s License. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.
Dalton Hurst, 21, of McConnelsville was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine.
Jamie Seidler, 28, of Mansfield, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $250 fine.
Shane Johnson, 47, of Marion, was found guilty of Speeding in a School Zone. The Court sentenced him to pay a $75 fine.
Danielle Ratliff, 40, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding in a School. The Court sentenced her to pay a $50 fine.
Nikki Morris, 19, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Fictitious Plates and a Loud Muffler. The Court sentenced her to a $25 fine on the first charge and a $15 fine on the second charge.
Dakota Eckert, 24, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Expired Plates. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.
Dominic McDonald, 27, of Columbus, was found guilty of Driving Under a License Forfeiture Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine.
Susan McNichols, 64, of Mount Vernon was found guilty of Speeding in a School Zone. The Court sentenced her to pay a $75 fine.
John Witzky, 69, of Howard, was found guilty of Speeding in a School Zone. The Court sentenced him to pay a $125 fine.
Lakin Johnston, 26, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced her to pay a $100 fine.
Mary Carter, 54, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Improperly Backing into a Roadway. The Court sentenced her to pay a $35 fine.
James Sugrue, 41, of Mount Vernon, plead guilty to Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $75 fine and serve three days in jail.
Andrew Rodhe, 25, of Millersburg, plead guilty to Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $50 fine
Joshua Preece, 21, of Fredericktown, plead guilty to Driving Under Suspension and Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $220 fine for the DUS and a $35 fine for Speeding.
Aron Conkle, 35, of Mount Vernon, plead guilty to Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine and serve 3 days in jail.

Nathan Parke, 27, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Theft. The Court sentenced him to pay court costs and $140 in restitution, serve 180 days in jail with 120 days suspended, and placed him on 2 years of probation with the following conditions: comply with all terms and conditions of probation.
Jonathan Vail, 44, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of two counts of Violation of a Protection Order, Menacing by Stalking, and Intimidation. He will be sentenced on March 20, 2023.
Cade Remy, 23, of Columbus, was found guilty of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail with 177 suspended, placed him on one year of probation with the following conditions: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program and suspended his license for one year.
Ashton Spurgeon, 23, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Reckless Operation. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine.
Clinton Durbin, 32, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $700 fine, pay restitution in the amount of $2,413.13, serve 180 days in jail with 160 days suspended, two years of probation and suspended his license for two years.
